Charlotte Newton is a Neuroscience Researcher for the Centric Lab.
Charlotte is currently a full-time research student at UCL on her extramural research year from studying for a BSc in Biomedical Sciences, specialised in neuroscience at King's College London. Charlotte's perspicacity, quick thinking and broad view on situations makes her a great addition to the team. Charlotte's intention to move straight to a PhD from the end of her degree.
Charlotte's research interests lie between the boundaries of architecture and neuroscience; how developments in cognitive neuroscience may inform design practice of spaces to enhance user quality. Such developments include understanding spatial cognition and navigation. Her recent works investigate the effect of geometric transformation of structures on user spatial memory, and how varying geometric configurations influence navigational ability.
